Crazy Couple of Weeks

So much has happened over the last few weeks. 

Emilia was sick with a nasty virus for almost two weeks... Connor asked a really sweet girl on a date (his first)... I managed to fall and give myself a concussion... Lauren turned ten.

I am hoping to gather my pictures together and post a bunch of updates before I forget some of the delightful things that made me smile... like Lauren's Grand Prix Racer and Emilia's dating advice for Connor.

Getting Ready for the Race The Awana Grand Prix is coming up. The kids bought their car kits last week at club. They planned, they created blue prints and traced out their designs onto the blocks of wood with care and precision. On Friday we attended the "Pit Party". It was an evening for kids to come to the church and used power tools they might not have access to at home. My kids took full advantage. Lauren had her car cut and then did the sanding herself. Fun in the Snow One evening when we came home to a driveway full of snow, Lauren decided that she wanted to do something nice for her Dad. She decided that she would shovel the driveway, knowing that is a job her Daddy hates. Jacob and Emilia decided to pitch in and join the efforts. The snow was quite a bit heavier than expected.
